Do You Still Believe The Promise?

God is able to do great things in our lives if we would just believe.  It is necessary for us to build up our faith in God by studying the Word of God, praying, and fasting to draw closer unto Him regularly.  During these times of seeking God with our whole hearts and minds we are able to find peace and quietness in the midst of the storms of our life.  It is when we rest in God that we are able to hear Him speak into our lives to build up our faith, our joy, and our committment to Him and the work of the ministry.

Often we receive the promises of God with great joy and faith, but over time fear, doubt, and disbelief may begin to crowd in to separate us from God and His promises.  After God speaks something into our life we may be faced with unexpected trials and tribulations that we feel we can not bear, but during this time we must continue to hold on and trust in Him.

We must confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that the word is true when it is declared " If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." (John 15:7)  Then, we must cry out before the Lord in our private times of prayer for his direction, his annointing, and his strength to endure until our change comes.  We must turn our face away from the problem and towards our God who is our provider and our keeper.  The bible proclaims " The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. " (Psalm 121:5)

If God has spoken a word into our life, a promise from on high, then we must hold on to it no matter what comes our way or who tries to hinder our walk through negative words or actions.   We must continue to stand and believe God will do exactly what he has said he would do at the appointed time and place.  We must continue to walk in obedience and faith knowing that God will provide our way of escape and has already ordained the provisions be supplied that we will need to walk in victory.  If God said it then that's enough, no more doubting, no more crying, no more trying to do it ourselves.  We must wait on God and follow His directions when he speaks, and then we will see God's hand moving in our lives, and the lives of those round about us, to fulfill his promises just as he said he would do.

Let's praise Him in advance, knowing that if God said it, it will truly come to pass!

Walk It Out…
Stop and take a moment to meditate on this devotional and more importantly the mighty Word of God. How does this apply to you on today? What are you currently believing God for in your life? What do you need to let go of or stop doing immediately? What do you need to begin doing? Pray and listen. Now step out in faith and go forth in Jesus name!
