Here Am I

   

It's difficult sometimes to throw your hands up before God and say, "Here am I Lord", but O what blessed peace we find when we do!  You often see the struggle people have of taking that first step to the altar, and of simply lifting up their hands in true repentance once they do. Often, their instant reaction is to hang their heads in fear or shame as if caught in a crime and surrounded by the police with no place to go and a reluctant surrender. Yet, such joy they find when they realize that this place of surrender, before God, is different.  It is one of the sweetest places you will ever find yourself to be!

Isn’t it wonderful to learn that we belong to a loving God, a heavenly Father, who desires for us to come to Him to find forgiveness and freedom.  In the natural, we may suffer consequences as we face an irate parent who has discovered our disobedience, and God deals with us likewise for our shortcomings with mercy and grace.  Lift up your hands and eyes on today to a heavenly Father who loves you so, and let Him wash all your burdens and sins away!  He cares for you dearly, and He is waiting. Come!

1 I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Walk It Out…
Stop and take a moment to meditate on this devotional and more importantly the mighty Word of God. How does this apply to you on today? What are you currently believing God for in your life?
