Love Is An Action Word

The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy.  We, the saints of God, acknowledge that this is so with our mouths, but our actions sometimes show we think differently.  We must strive daily to avoid offense and live peaceably.  The enemy loves to stir up strife, and he does his job so well!  Everyone would get along so much better if we would each strive daily to obey this simple commandment:

John 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Obeying  the 10 commandments of the old testament is fulfilled by obeying this one commandment in the new testament.

If a husband and wife love their spouse, as Christ loved the church, it would be impossible for them to commit adultery.

If children loved their parents, as Christ loved the church, they would not talk back or disregard their parents directions that are given in love for their protection and instruction.

If the church loved one another, as Christ loved the church, we would get rid of envy, jealousy, hatred and strife, we would submit to leadership and follow "house rules" like we do on our jobs daily without question, and we would have no concern that a brother or sister might steal from us or murder u(physically or verbally).

If we loved in our community, like Christ loved the church, we would serve one another, obey those who have authority over us, and work faithfully on our jobs(as unto the Lord). We would not allow petty arguing to come between us, to separate and divide, but submit ourselves one to the other.

We are instructed to abstain from those things that might cause a weaker brother to stumble, and to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.  We must strive daily in all we do, say, and think to lift up Christ before those round about us, and that is impossible to do until we first love one another as Christ has loved us!

Words To Stand On...

John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Deuteronomy 6:5
5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
